  a newssource today quotes singer sheryl crow, an anti-global warming (which i applaud) activist, "i propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting.

  now, i dont want to rob any law-abiding american of his or her god-given rights, but i think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.".

  not being a woman i don't know about that -- i have my doubts.

  Daystar - thanks for posting the actual quote in context from her blog. I can't imagine how anyone could read that paragraph and actually believe Crow was serious. She was obviously taking the piss ;-) Pretty damn funny imo.

  it's a damp spring day here.

  all the bugs are coming out.

  this morning i went to do some laundry and there was the creepiest bug i have ever seen before in the laundry tub!

  You just reminded me of my "pet" spider. He spun his web right outside my back door and I'd walk through it every morning on my way to work and he'd have it rebuilt when I got home at night. I finally after about two weeks of cobweb hair remembered to duck when going in and out. He stayed for about three months maybe and then he was just gone. Spider heaven perhaps...

  How many remember the 1969 8 day convention?

  anybody remember the 8 day 1969 international convention.

  i was at the braves stadium in atlanta all 8 days with a sunburn and then wet clothes after the rain storms.

  if you were there (not necessarily in atlanta) do you remember anything about it?

  my sweetie and i will be visiting my parents in a couple of weeks.

  they know all about how much in love we are and jw mom always asks about him, how he's doing, when we first started dating she asked all about what i liked about him, how he treats me, if he's easygoing and i can have a laugh with him etc... .

  so she is happy about us.

  Living Alone - Love it or Loathe it?

  well i have been living alone now for a week for the first time in about 6 years and apart from one or two minor episodes i am really really enjoying the freedom of it.

  i feel like a weight has been lifted.

  i feel free again - a tiny bit lonely at night - but mostly i think i've recaptured that long lost spring in my step.

  Same here. I think I have the best of both worlds. My daughter alternates weeks between her dad and I. I love living alone (50% of the time), because I can fart and scratch to my heart's content. ;-) (Just kidding - I never do either of those things nor do I pick my nose.)

  So, since I received it at work, which I thought was disrespectful, I decided to wait to cry till I got home.

  Don't you hate it when that happens? When my mom was dying, she used to call me at work to chat....after how many years of silence on their part. But then she got sick and suddenly all that shunning business wasn't quite so important and God-directed after all.

  Ah well, as my favorite gay cowboy said, "If you cain't fix it, you just have to stand it."
